Throughout the history of the campus, there are numerous milestones which have proved the development in the scale and the prestige of the campus through each stage.
► November 15th, 1945: The University of Transport and Communications (UTC), originally named as Vietnam College of Public Works, was reopened under the revolutionary government on November 15th1945 in accordance with the Decree of President Ho Chi Minh.
► March 24th, 1962: The University of Transport and Communications was founded under the Decision of the Government on March 24th,1962.
► 1988: The University of Transportation and Communications started the first full-time undergraduate program in the South.
► April 27th, 1990: The UTC - Campus II was established in Ho Chi Minh City.
► July 15th, 2016: University of Transport and Communications – Campus in HCM City (UTC-HCMC), formerly the UTC – Campus II, was established, under the Decision No. 2419/TCCB by the Minister of Education and Training.
