Startup Competition

Meeting the start-up needs of young people, the School's Union, and the Student's Association coordinated with sponsors to organize a useful playground for UTC's students, providing start-up knowledge, seeking creative and breakthrough startups ideas while creating an open environment for young people to learn, share and exchange ideas.
The event was attended by speakers who are entrepreneurs, professionals in the startup sector, investors, and the school's teachers to clear up queries about the start-up issues of the students as well as inspiring and motivating UTC's students to expand their thinking about starting a business.

The event opened with the share of speakers about start-ups- all difficulties, and obstacles they faced when they started, so as to help students define their goals, find out what they need and things they need to do when they start a business. Mr. Ho Dang Duy - Director of Australia International Language School shared: "The first thing about starting a business is that you have to know how to communicate, and to do that well, English is something that young entrepreneurs need to achieve. The second thing is that you need to accumulate yourself a knowledge base to start a business and to start a successful business, you must develop your thinking even more... ”. It is one of the conditions that young people need to start a business. Of course, starting a business depends on many factors such as capital, time, manpower...and one thing that a successful entrepreneur always has- true passion - which was proved by Mr. Thoa Tran: “I myself have stumbled so many times when I first started, but I always have a flame of passion, and passion is what helps us overcome difficulties and fierce competitions out there ... ” All the sharing of the speakers paved the way for students to start their stories.
The event continued with the "Ringing the Golden Bell" contest, which attracted students to try their best in the startup field.

Students also brought their own startup projects to the playground. After nearly an hour of intense and dramatic competition, 6 teams presented their ideas to the judges. Eventually, student Đỗ Minh won ahead of rivals, bringing home the first prize with the project of starting an online food business which was highly appreciated by the judges for its novelty and utility in daily modern life.
 

The contest has reached the intention of helping students better understand entrepreneurship, creating entrepreneurial ideas with breakthrough capabilities, high competitiveness in the market, playing an important role in economic development. This contest was also a chance for young entrepreneurs to learn, create opportunities to establish relationships with reputable investment funds, start-up incubators, and investor networks.
